A Celebration of Community, Culture & Giving

The holiday season is upon us — and with it comes a time to gather, share, and spread love. ā¤ļøJamaicans On Vancouver Island (JOVICSS) invites you to join us for our Annual Charity Christmas Dinner & Dance — a festive evening that blends the warmth of Jamaican culture with the true spirit of giving.

šŸ“… Date:Ā Saturday, December 6, 2025

šŸ•” Time:Ā Doors open at 5:00 PM

šŸ“ Venue:Ā St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 753 Burnside Rd W, Victoria, BC

This year’s dinner is more than just a meal — it’s a celebration of community and compassion.Ā Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Island Kids Cancer Association, helping support children and families affected by cancer right here in British Columbia.

šŸ“ A Taste of Jamaica

Guests will enjoy a three-course authentic Jamaican mealĀ featuring some of the island’s most beloved dishes — from flavorful jerk chicken and curried goat to pot roast beef and traditional Christmas sorrel. It’s an experience that brings the flavors, rhythm, and warmth of Jamaica to Vancouver Island.

šŸŽ¶ Entertainment, Raffles & Good Vibes

The evening will be filled with live entertainment, music, and community performancesĀ that showcase our island pride and multicultural spirit. There will also be raffle prizes and a chance to dance the night away — Caribbean style!

šŸ’– Giving Back Together

At JOVICSS, we believe that the holidays are about more than celebration — they’re about connectionĀ and compassion. Through this charity dinner, we aim to make a positive impact in the lives of local families while building stronger cultural bridges across our community.

Even if you can’t attend, you can still be part of the giving spirit by purchasing a Donation TicketĀ or contributing directly to our cause. Every ticket, every meal, and every donation brings hope to a child in need.
