About the event

Taste of Jamaica – Jerk Fest is a vibrant celebration of Jamaican culture, cuisine, and community, brought to you by JOVICSS (Jamaicans on Vancouver Island Canadian Services Society).

Set in the beautiful outdoor setting of Banfield Park, this family-friendly event offers an unforgettable experience filled with authentic Jamaican jerk dishes, traditional games like dominoes and ludo, and live island vibes.

Guests can indulge in mouthwatering meals featuring jerk chicken, pork, fish, and corn, paired with delicious sides like festival, coleslaw, and soup.

Whether you choose an all-inclusive meal for $30 or sample items from various stations at $15 each, your taste buds are in for a treat.

Beyond the food, Jerk Fest is about connection—bringing together people of all backgrounds to enjoy the richness of Jamaican heritage through music, laughter, and community spirit.
